John 4:24 - “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.””
From The Pastor’s Heart
We look around at a world in chaos. We see unrest, pain and tragedy everywhere we look. At first glance we fear for our children and our grandchildren. We wonder what kind of world, what kind of America they will grow up in. Then, we look again, this time through the eyes of faith. We realize that God is still in control. He will be sufficient for any time, for any problem. His grace will abound toward those who know Him and trust Him.
When Jesus went back to the Father, He told us He was leaving us His peace. In John, chapter fourteen, Jesus says;"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. He never said anything about this peace having an expiration date, or not being able to see us through the modern world we live in.
How are things going for you? Faced any storms lately? Been overwhelmed by circumstances? Dear child of God, remember who it is we serve. Our Father is faithful, trustworthy and true.
Jesus said; These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." Notice He said in Me. Are you abiding in Him? If you are, we can face the uncertainty of our days with the certainty of who He is.
In His Great Love, Pastor Mike
